We got back from our Grand Canyon family vacation yesterday.
And while the Canyon is in fact, grand, and incredibly inspiring, I find that I have little to say about it.
The pictures don’t do it justice, either. But I posted a few on instagram anyway.
Though I hope that the above half minute glimpse from my favorite vista of our trip conveys at least a smidgen of this encounter, I’d recommend an in-person visit.
If you’re up for a hike, consider this excursion* to Cedar Ridge.
Our rail-side views from the rim couldn’t compare with the experience from within the Canyon—and we only hiked a mile and a half down! This net three miles into (and back out of) the canyon via the South Kaibab Trail was a perfect hiking adventure, and for the sake of our family vacation didn’t involve trail running—though I won’t say that I wasn’t tempted!
That looks incredible! Glad you could go!
