My last post was about learning the IMTUF race course through both on site work, and via the race course description in the race manual.
Today I let you in on one of the rabbit holes I go down occasionally when researching a race like this one—googling race reports from past finishers. If you’re also preparing for IMTUF, check out these write-ups. And if you’re simply waiting patiently for me to run and write up my own race report for IMTUF, perhaps peruse these race reports in the meantime . . .
IMTUF RACE REPORT ROUND UP:
Anthony Lee, 2020. This year had severe smoke.
Mike Postaski, 2022. This racer did it in sub 24 hours, earning 1st place.
Philippe Boutros, 2023. Very engaging race report; I highly recommend!
Gabe Joyes, 2023. A coach and 2nd place IMTUF finisher.
Phil Brundage, 2020. Good pics of key sections, also during the smoke year.
RichSo, 2023. Very detailed leg by leg report—well written!
John Burton, 2023. Both hilarious and *hilariously long* race report; not technical, but insightful in its own way.
First Tangerine 6284. Race report reddit style—no year details in the post, perhaps 2020?
Let me know if you go down any of your own rabbit holes and discover more must-add links for my list!
